Combine Yarn Carriers

Combine Yarn Carriers Section

The technical processing combines, if possible, several yarn carriers in one system (e.g. with Intarsia).

Method of the combination

Select the option for the combination of the yarn carriers.

Do not combine

Do not combine yarn carriers in one system.
Default Setting

Combining with high productivity

Allocation of the yarn carriers for optimized productivity

  • Shortest running time
  • Result can not be influenced.
  • Problems with the Intarsia binding possible (tuck).

Same Knitting Rhythm

Retain this rhythm of knitting across the entire pattern.

  • Uniform look of Intarsia binding.
  • Possibly reduced productivity.

Secure Yarn Insertion at Color Widening

Allocation of the yarn carriers for the secure yarn insertion at widenings of Intarsia color fields.

  • This option may prevent combining of yarn carriers.
  • Automatic, uniform and optimized combining of the yarn carriers.
  • Steady Intarsia binding will be achieved.

Same Knitting Rhythm and Secure Yarn Insertion

Retain this rhythm of knitting across the entire pattern.
Allocation of the yarn carriers for the secure yarn insertion at widenings of Intarsia color fields.

  • Uniform look of Intarsia binding.
  • Automatic, uniform and optimized combining of the yarn carriers.
  • Possibly reduced productivity.

Rows With CAs

Include if combining is active

Combining then also has an effect on rows in which CAs are defined.

Allow NPJ when combining yarn carriers
NPJ allowed

NPJ is also applied when combining yarn carriers.

Additional yarn carrier distance for corrections on the machine (YC/YCI)
1/16 inch

Adjust the safety distance in order to make corrections on the machine (YC/YCI in the setup).

Allows narrower yarn carrier distances in the case of coarser gauges.
