Correction Values (ADF)

Some columns are only available for ADF machines.

For every entry of the upper table, enter the desired correction value for the yarn carrier in this table.

Y

Yarn carriers (1A-16B)

Ka

KIa

Correction value for yarn carrier (on the left) if the autarkic yarn carrier is positioned outside its own color field.

Value range: -120 to 120
Step width: 0.5=1/32 inch=0.8 mm

Kb

KIb

Correction value for yarn carrier (on the right) if the autarkic yarn carrier is positioned outside its own color field.

Value range: -120 to 120
Step width: 0.5=1/32 inch=0.8 mm

K<I>a

Correction value for the yarn carrier (on the left) if the autarkic yarn carrier is positioned in its own color field.

Value range: -120 to 120
Step width: 0.5=1/32 inch=0.8 mm

K<I>b

Correction value for the yarn carrier (on the right) if the autarkic yarn carrier is positioned in its own color field.

Value range: -120 to 120
Step width: 0.5=1/32 inch=0.8 mm

<- -> +/- [mm]

Correction of insertion position for autarkic yarn carriers ( ADF )

  • Positive value: following yarn carrier
  • Negative value: leading yarn carrier

Value range: -100 to 100
Step width: 0.1 mm

YPI and YCI determine the values of insertion position and insertion angle of the autarkic yarn carriers.

These values will be added up to the corresponding maximum at the respective knitting situation.

Table entries (plating offset)

^ v +/- [mm]

Correction of the insertion angle for autarkic yarn carriers (ADF)

  • Positive value: Steeper yarn angle
  • Negative value: Flatter yarn angle

Value range: -2.0 to 5.0
Step width: 0.1 mm

MSEC

Carriage speed if this yarn carrier is used.

Especially helpful for technical fabrics.

V

Reduced carriage speed from the carriage reversal point until the area of use of the yarn carrier is reached.

Reduce carriage speed (n) for yarn carrier (n = 0..3). The speed is reduced to 75% from carriage reversal point until achievement of the operating range of the yarn carrier. Then it can be chosen between the following possibilities:

  • 1 = Acceleration up to 100%
  • 2 = Braking down to 50%, maintain speed over a fabric width of 2 inches, acceleration up to 100%
  • 3 = Braking down to 50%, maintain speed over a fabric width of 5 inches, acceleration up to 100%
  • 0 = Deactivation of yarn carrier-specific carriage speed

^+/-[mm]

Correction of "High Position" for autarkic yarn carriers

Default : 0 mm

Value range: -2.0 to 5.0
Step width: 0.1 mm

v+/-[mm]

Correction of "Down Position" for autarkic yarn carriers

Default : 0 mm

Value range: -2.0 to 5.0
Step width: 0.1 mm

A-MSEC

Maximum yarn carrier speed with an autarkic course

Default : 2.0 meters/second

Value range: 0.05 to 2.0
Step width: 0.05

F

Automatic, system-independent staggering of the yarn carriers following the fabric selvedge √ = disabled

Activate or deactivate the function for the automatic tracking of the yarn carriers in case of shapings.

If the distance between the yarn carrier and the fabric selvedge deviates, the yarn carriers will be moved automatically following the fabric selvedge.

Basis: YDF value of Yarn Carrier Distance from the Fabric Selvedge (YD)

  • Activate the automatic tracking (default setting)
  • Deactivate the automatic tracking
  • For pattern specific subentries:
    • No specification (= Don’t Care)
Apply value from the previous row.
The applied value will not be displayed.
    • Call-up the Delete Content context menu or tap the Del button.
