Not Sunken Tuck

Explanation

Use

If you want the tuck loop knitted tighter than the stitch.

Knitting Technique

Cams (standard):
The tuck loop and the stitch will have the same stitch length (stitch tension) due to the built-in cams as standard.

Conversion kit "Not Sunken Tuck":
With "Tuck" the needle is not sunken on loop sinking depth. Thereby, the tuck loop will be knitted tighter than stitch.

Look

The tuck loop will be knitted tighter. This gives a stitch structure which is more closed.

Advantage

No increased wear arises like with "Short Tuck" conversion kit.

Disadvantage

With "Not Sunken Tuck" the tuck will always be knitted of equal length. It is not possible to set a NP value for the tuck.

Note

If the "Short Tuck" conversion kit was previously installed in the machine, then check the cam plate for wear. If traces of wear are visible, remove them carefully with a file.

Which machine can be converted?

This conversion kit can be built-in on machines with a 5" system distance.
