Modes with Yarn Length Measuring

There are three operating modes available in the Setup Editor.

Production without YLC

The knitting machine works without measuring and controlling.

Working with mm

How to use:

  • Standard fabrics having a width of ≥ 7 inches.
  • Fabrics produced in sequences
  • Continuous fabrics

Procedure:

The target values are calculated for each knitting row. The basis for this is the calculated yarn length.

The used yarn length is measured and compared to the calculated yarn length (calculated based on machine gauge, stitch length and needle number).

In case of deviations that occur within the allowed range, the stitch length is corrected (see 计算修正值 ).

Working with master piece

How to use:

  • Fabrics with knitting modes, that have an irregular yarn consumption and therefore prevent a regulation. Examples for this are patterns with changing binding and complex knitting modes like Aran and cable stitch.
  • Narrow fabrics with a width of ≥ 5 inches, e.g. the sleeve with knit and wear articles.
  • Elements knitted-on with a width of ≥ 5 inches, e.g. trimmings.
  • Fabrics produced in sequences.

Procedure:

The target values are not calculated, but measured. The basis for this is the measured yarn length.

The used yarn length is measured and compared to the specifications of the Master Piece.

In case of deviations that occur within the allowed range, the stitch length is corrected (see 计算修正值 ).
