Create New Knitting Elements

Options for saving a knitting element:

I. Create new knitting element:

    Click on the New Knitting Element icon at the start of CREATE PLUS.
    - or -
    Click New Knitting Element icon in the Knit Explorer.
    - or -
    Select Generate a new module in the context menu of the Modules tab.
  1. The New Knitting Element dialog box will appear.

Name

Enter the name of the new knitting element.

Type of Knitting Element

Selection of the template for the new knitting element

: The template determines the basic properties.

Knitting Technique

Selection of the basic knitting mode for the new knitting element

  • All Needles
  • 1x1 Technique

    Make the desired settings.

    Close the dialog box with the OK button.
  1. The tool window appears with the corresponding template.

Design Rows:

The information from the design rows are displayed when drawing in the design pattern. If the control column data appears only in the technical rows, this data will only be entered by the technical processing.

Selection

Get the design symbols for the technical rows in the selected area created.

  • Grey:
    Options for filtering the view is deactivated.
  • Blue:
    Options for filtering the view is activated

  • Grey:
    The design rows are not displayed in the view.
  • Blue:
    The design rows are displayed in the view.

The information from the design rows are displayed when drawing in the design pattern. The design rows are generated from the created technical rows by default.

  • Grey: The technical rows are not displayed in the view.
  • Blue: The technical rows are displayed in the view.

The information from the technical rows are inserted in the pattern during the technical processing.

Presentation of symbols:

  • Grey:
    Will not be displayed.
  • Blue:
    Will be displayed.

    Select the Needle Actions / Colors tab.

    Select the display of Technical Rows.

    Draw the structure of the new knitting element with needle actions and the desired pattern color into the technical rows.

    Define the control column data in the technical rows.

    If desired, apply the control column data to the design rows with the Control Columns button activated.

    Check the knitting element regarding the correct structure with the Check button.

    Save the knitting element.

II. Create a new, local knitting element:

  1. A project is created and opened.

    Select the Knitting Elements tab in the Knitting Elements tool window.

    Call-up the Generate a new module context menu of the tool window.
  1. The New Knitting Element dialog box appears.

    Select the desired template.

    Select the knitting technique for the selected template.

    Confirm entries with OK.
  3. Tool window appears.

    Create and check the knitting element.

    Close the tool window with X.
  1. A new local knitting element is saved in the Knitting Elements tab.
