Ways to Create Shapes by CREATE PLUS

New Dimensioned Shape Project

Creating shapes with grading by the input format

  • Centimeter [cm]
  • Inch [“]

: Will be converted according to the stitch ratio and displayed by stitches.

  • Save As...
    as *.sgsf

- or –

  • create directly in the pattern project and save as *.spf

New Lined Shape Project

Creating a new shape by the input format

  • Stitch
  • Steps
  • Hand-Knitting (Courses)
  • Save As...
    as *.slsf

- or –

  • create directly in the pattern project and save as *.spf

: You can make default settings for narrowing, widening, and so on in the start window under Options for Dimensioned Shapes and for Lined Shapes.

The default settings for lined shapes are shown in the Configuration dialog box and are generally valid for all shapes.

Import Image

Import of an image in the format

  • Image File Types: *.bmp/ *.jpg/ *.jpeg/ *.jpe/ *.jfif/ *.gif/ *.tiff/ .*tif/ *:png
  • STOLL Image Import Type: *.sii

: Shape must be edited manually, meaning you have to draw in all shape attributes manually or to insert them via the context menu Add Missing Shape Symbols.

Creating a new shape as lined shape by the input format

  • Stitch

Save As...

*.slsf

: The shape is positioned pending on the design pattern.

Graphic Method

You create the shape manually in the design pattern by

  • Outside Shape
  • Within Shape:
    • Pattern Color
    • Needle Actions
  • Raster-Shape Symbols

: Shape is part of the pattern and cannot be saved as separate shape file.

Ways to Import Shapes from Other Programs

M1plus

You can import shapes created on M1plus only in the *.shp format in to CREATE PLUS.

GKS

You can open shapes created on GKS *.gks as Dimensioned Shape in CREATE PLUS.

CREATE PLUS

  • Dimensioned Shape saved as *.sgsf :
    Import of the *.sgsf file, converting the dimensioned shapes and, if desired, saving them as *.slsf.
    : Automatically Saving as Pattern Project *spf.
  • Lined Shape saved as *.slsf:
    You can open the *.slsf file as Dimensioned Shape and save it as *.sgsf then.

DXF

You can open shapes created as *dxf in the CREATE PLUS as Dimensioned Shape.
