Working with marking points

In document window with the graphical representation of the shape, the following types of marking points can be created.

Creating / removing marking points:

  1. A basic shape is created.
  2. The document window with basic shape is enabled.

    Position the cursor in the document window.

    Open the context menu with RMB.

    Select Add Symmetrical Marking Points.
    - or -
    Select Add Marking Point.
  1. Marking points are displayed in the shape element.

    Move the marking point with the LMB pressed and reposition
    - or -
    Move the marking point with the arrow keys of the keyboard.

: Remove symmetry of the marking points:
Open the context menu with RMB and select Remove Symmetry.

Insert / remove horizontal / vertical control dimensioning for marking points:

: The control dimensioning is helpful when positioning marking points.

  2. The document window with basic shape is enabled.
  3. Marking points are created.

    Select a marking point with LMB.

    Open the context menu with RMB and select Add Horizontal Control Dimensioning.
  1. Horizontal control dimensioning is displayed.

    Position the cursor on the desired endpoint.

    Confirm the position with the LMB.
  1. The horizontal control dimensioning is displayed in stitches and centimeters.

    Insert a vertical control dimensioning following the same procedure.

: Deleting a Control Dimensioning:
Position the cursor on the control dimensioning line, open the context menu with the RMB and select Delete.

Assign the knitting element to a marking point or remove it:

: Remove the allocated knitting element:
Call up the context menu and select Delete.

Aligning points horizontally / vertically:

  1. A basic shape is created.
  2. The document window with basic shape is enabled.
  3. Shape points / marking points are created.

    Position the cursor on the desired shape point / marking point (source point).

    Open the context menu with RMB.

    Select Align Points Horizontally.
    - or -
    Select Align Points Vertically.

    Click on the shape point / marking point with the LMB, which is to be oriented to the source point.
  1. Shape points / marking points are represented oriented to each other by auxiliary lines.

: Deleting a Control Dimensioning:
Position the cursor on the control dimensioning line, open the context menu and select Delete.
