Example: CA with Placeholder Colors

If a multicolored CA is applied in an area where the color sequence is modified, it might lead to unsuitable knitting sequences.

The following three-colored motif is drawn in the pattern:

If you select the entire area and create a Color Arrangement from the selection, appears the following CA according to the order of the found colors:

The CA is applied correctly in the area 1, but in the areas 2 and 3, the color sequence would not be correct.

This is why you can draw in the CA with placeholder colors.

CA with placeholder colors:

The first search color in the CA in every procedure relates to the first found color area in the pattern. The found color is applied to the pattern instead of the placeholder color through the processing area.
The second search color relates to the second area in the pattern and the third in the same way to the third area.

This way it is ensured that the knitting sequence of the CA is always applied correctly, independently from the color sequence that is found in the pattern.
