Image File Settings

In the Réglages fichier image dialog box you make the following settings for the export of the fabric view:

Source de l'image

Source

Select image source

  • Dessin complet
    Exports a complete fabric piece.
  • Zone sélectionnée
Exports only the desired, selected section of a pattern.
This function is helpful in case cycles are to be used in a 3D apparel software.
  • Extrait actuel de l'image
Exports only the area that currently appears in the document window of the fabric view.

Taille de l'image

Taille

Select size specification format

DPI or Pixels

DPI

Enter DPI value

Hateur en pixels

Enter height in pixels

Largeur en pixels

Enter width in pixels

Conserver les proportions

The size ratio of the pattern is maintained

aiguilles

Width of the image file in needles

Rangées

Height of the image file in rows

Largeur

Width of the image file in cm

The specification corresponds to the set stitch density

Hauteur

Height of the image file in cm

The specification corresponds to the set stitch density

Densité des mailles

Specification, in the Propriétés du dessin selected stitch density

Paramètres du fichier

Nom du fichier

Display of the pattern name

Format d'image

Select image format

PNG
JPEG or
TIFF

When selecting PNG:

Canal alpha PNG

PNG with or without transparency
Export the fabric view for further processing to a 3D apparel software always as PNG with enabled transparency (Canal alpha PNG).

Compression

Les images sont réduites à 256 couleurs. La qualité des images peut être influencée négativement. La taille de fichier sera fortement réduite.

When selecting JPEG:

Qualité JPEG

JPEG with specification of the quality
The fabric view as JPG is always exported with a black background.

Independently from the selection of the image format:

Exportation en fichier U3M

Export as U3M file

U3M is a standardized format for 3D visualization.
This includes physical properties data and texture maps, all combined into one ZIP file (U3MA).

Exportation en U3MA (Archive)

Exports the files compressed in a U3MA zip file.

Exports

So-called Maps are used for the 3D visualization and 3D simulation to assign two-dimensional images to the three-dimensional surfaces of the models.
The different types of Maps give a more detailed and realistic appearance to the computer generated 3D models.

Base Map

Export Base Map

Base Map is the basic texture with the visible colors.

Alpha Map

Export Alpha Map

An alpha Map contains information about transparent areas of a texture.
In a 3D software it is required to define the transparent space.

Normal Map

Export Normal Map

The Normal Map, also called Bump Map, specifies the angle, with which virtual light is reflected over a digital surface.

With it the appearance of the texture depth is simulated.

The Normal Map is a necessary part of digital textures in a 3D software.

Displacement Map

Export Displacement Map

A Displacement Map, also called Height Map, can artificially generate an additional height of a digital texture.

This way, a more realistic appearance of three-dimensional surface structure results within a 3D model.

Endroit

Export the corresponding selection as the front side

Envers

Export the corresponding selection as the rear side
