Picture Import

If you want to import an image into CREATE DESIGN you have two options:

Image import before creating a design project

    Start the CREATE DESIGN .

    Click Importa immagine.
  2. The Importazione immagine dialog box appears.

    Click the icon in the quick access toolbar to select an image file.
  3. After confirming, the image appears in the dialog.

    Set the following image properties:
    Dimensione di destinazione:
    If you want to adapt the original size of the image to another target size you can redefine the width and the height.
    The proportions are retained in spite of scaling when clicking on Mantieni proporzioni.
    Numero di colori di destinazione:
    If you want to reduce the quantity of colors of your original image, you can specify the desired quantity of colors here.
    With Riduzione standard you have the option of reducing the colors in a standardized way and with clean edges.
    Or you can design the color transitions with the Mescolanza di colori (retinatura) function.

    Click Crea progetto "Design" to generate a pattern based on the image properties.
    - or -
    Copy the image to the clipboard to insert it manually into an existing design project.

Image import within a design project

NOTA! Realize an image import only with images that are already color reduced!

  1. A design project is open.

    Click on the Parti di disegno tool window with the right mouse button.
  1. The context menu appears:

    Select Importa immagine... in the context menu.

    Select the desired, color reduced image.

    Confirm the selection with Open.
  2. The Importazione immagine dialog appears with the target size and the assigned yarn colors.

    If necessary, change the automatically assigned yarn color clicking the yarn symbol.

    Confirm the import with Importa.
  1. The image appears in the Parti di disegno tool window.
