Start Modules
Start modules are applied for the beginning of a new fabric.
Filter Criteria
A special feature of the starts is the filter criteria in the Marcatura ranghi control column.
When applying a start in the pattern, settings are made in the corresponding dialog box, among other things:
- Numero di sistemi
- Filo elastico
- Filato di protezione
- Transizione
These settings define in the selected module using the filter criteria in the Marcatura ranghi control column, which rows are applied in each case.
- Start module opened in the Knit Explorer:
- All rows for the different options of the filter criteria are displayed.
- All filter criteria are visible in the Marcatura ranghicontrol column.
- Start module opened in the Moduli tool window:
- The localized module is displayed.
- Only the used rows of the start are displayed.
- No filters are entered in the Marcatura ranghi control column.
The clear identification of a start module can be found in the properties of the knitting element under Tipo di elemento di lavoro .
This specification cannot be modified.

Header In the header you can check the module and make the following settings: |

Editing area In the editing area the module is displayed and edited. For it, there are different alternatives available in the status bar, in the tool windows and through the context menu. You have access to the following settings and functions in the context menu of the module: |

Status Bar The status bar contains cursor indications and options for the presentation in the structure module. |

Create a start module:
- Copy and paste the existing module in Knit Explorer.
- - or –
- Duplicate a module in the Moduli tool window.
- Then edit and save the new module.
- Modules from the Knit Explorer can be applied in general.
- Modules from the Moduli tool window are local and can only be applied in the respective pattern project.
