How to Define the Options for New Shapes

    • Another user interface language is required.
    • Access to local help is required.
    • The cm measure unit is required.
    • Reference Unit of Stitch Density: 10.0 cm x 10.0 cm.
    • Display of the Deviation of Shape Points in the Dimensioning View greater than one stitch is required.
    • Selection of the narrowing, widening and fading-out default settings for new shapes is required.
  1. On the Start page in the StartOptions menu open Options.
    • The Options dialog box appears. OptionsF1-Help_Philosophy_small
  2. Select the desired language for the user interface in the Language SelectionList Box White list box.
  3. Go to the Presets for new dimensioned shapes section.
  4. Select the measure unit RadioOncm in the Measure Units group box.
  5. Enter the value 10.0 in the Reference Unit of Stitch DensityText Box + Spin_10.0cm edit box.
  6. Keep the CheckBoxOffHand-Knitting (Courses) under Specifying the Stepping deactivated.

  7. Go to the Deviation of Shape Points in the Dimensioning View group box.
  8. Select the RadioOnStitches option button under Measure Unit.
  9. Under Show with deviation greater than:keep the value 1 for verticalTextBox+Spin_1 as well as for horizontalTextBox+Spin_1.
  10. Go to the Default Settings group box.
  11. Select the desired module in the ModuleList Box White list box under Narrowing.
  12. Select the desired value under Narrowing in the WidthTextBox+Spin_1 edit box.
  13. Select the desired option in the LookList Box White list box under Narrowing.
  14. Select the desired module in the ModuleList Box White list box of the Multi-step Narrowing group box.
  15. Activate the CheckBoxOnNarrowing or Widening After an Even Number of Rows check box under Stepping if necessary.
  16. Select the desired module in the ModuleList Box White list box under Widening.
  17. Select the desired value in the WidthTextBox+Spin_1 edit box under Widening.
  18. select the desired module in the ModuleList Box White list box under Fading-out (for body and sleeve only).
  19. Select the desired value in the WidthTextBox+Spin_1 edit box under Fading-out (for body and sleeve only).
  20. Confirm with Button OK.
    • The Options dialog box closes.
    • The settings for new shapes are saved.
    • The current instance and all further program calls will appear in the selected language.
