How to Use the Smart Card

Before using the USB reading device (Smart Card Reader), the corresponding driver has to be installed.

1: Connect the USB reading device to an USB port.

2: Put the Smart Card into the reading device.
Watch out the correct position of the chip contacts.

The green LED of the Smart Card Reader shows the readiness of the reading device.
You can install the software.

Do not remove Smart Card from the reading device neither when installing nor when using the program.
During the installation and execution of the program, do not unplug the Smart Card Reader.

With the log on of a user or when putting in the smart card following Windows message may appear:
The card inserted requires drivers not present on this system.
Use another card!

Confirm this message with OK and log-on as usual.

Connectivity

In case of suspected manipulation of the system time, a connection to internet may be necessary.
