Polygon
In the Tool Properties toolbar, you select whether a filled area or only the border is selected for the symbol

Only select the border with a polygon:
- The cursor functions are switched off.

- Click the icon
from the Drawing tools toolbar.
- The selected drawing tool will be shown as a pressed icon.

- Select the option in the toolbar.

- Set the starting point of the first line by clicking on a needle in the fabric and moving the mouse pointer.
- The marking is shown in blue in the technical view.

- Set the end point of the line by clocking on a needle in the fabric.
- The end point of a line becomes automatically the starting point of the next line.

- Repeat step 3 and 4 until the desired shape is achieved.

- Set the end point of the last line with a double-click.
- Connect the first and the last point clicked on with each other.

- Correct the polygon at the graspers with the cursor

- Finish the function with a double click within the polygon.
- The function is completed and the selection is shown in red.
The existing selection is zoomed in if the Ctrl key is pressed during the new selection.
The existing selection is zoomed out if the Ctrl and Alt keys are pressed during the new selection. The selection is zoomed out by the overlapping area.
The selection can be influenced with the following functions:
- A needle bed is hidden with the functions and in the context menu of the technical view or fabric view. A hidden needle bed is not selected.
The
function in the Drawing Tools toolbar is used to search and select the currently set cursor functions in different ways.
Should a selection not be at the desired location, move it during selection with the Tab key pressed.
