Insert area...

This function is used to insert an area, column or row in the pattern.
This function can not be used with the folded-in presentation .

Insert an area:

    1
    Select area.
    2
    Call up the Edit / Insert area... menu.
    -  or  -
    Click the icon.
    -  or  -
    Press the Ins key.
  1. The Insert area dialog box appears.

Insert columns to change the pattern width:

You can insert empty columns, modules or a copy of selected columns.

    Select column next to which the empty rows are to be inserted.

    Call up the Edit / Insert area... menu.

    Press the Ins key.
  1. The Insert column <pattern name> dialog box appears, in which you specify how many columns you want to insert and where they are to be inserted.

With the key combination Ctrl + Shift +I you insert an individual column in front of a selected column. It is enough to select a needle pair of the column. If several columns are to be inserted, repeat the key combination several times.

Insert rows to enlarge the pattern height.

You can insert empty columns, modules or a copy of selected rows.

    Select the rows before or after which the empty rows are inserted.

    Call up the Edit / Insert area... menu.

    Press the Ins key.
  1. The Insert rows dialog box appears, in which you specify how many rows you want to insert and where they are to be inserted.

The same racking is used for inserted rows as for the previous or subsequent row.

With the key combination Ctrl + Shift + I, you insert one single empty row in front of a selected row without the dialog box appearing. If several rows are to be inserted, repeat the key combination several times.
