Adjust selection
This function is used to scale the selected area.
Change the size of a selection:
- The pattern state before expanding is active.
- The Symbol or the Fabric View is active.
- An area must be selected.

- Activate the symbol
in the Drawing tools toolbar. - A rectangular frame with graspers becomes visible around the selection.
The activated function is shown by the active symbol
.
In the Tool Properties toolbar, you select the desired option:

Percentage for the width modification - Enter percentage directly.
- Change percentage by the up and down arrows.
- Scale the selection graphically and read the percentage here.

Percentage for the height modification - Enter percentage directly.
- Change percentage by the up and down arrows.
- Scale the selection graphically and read the percentage here.

- Click on a handle with the left mouse button and move the mouse pointer in the desired direction with the mouse button pressed.
- While scaling, the percentage for size modifications is displayed in the status line as well.

- Release the mouse button when the desired scaling is achieved.
Move the mouse pointer over the opposite side in order to mirror the selection.
- A new selection is visible.
The original selection has been removed.
The following keys change the behavior:
Press the respective key while the left mouse button is pressed.

Shift
This key is used to scale or to mirror to an even multiple of the original size. -
Ctrl
The new (scaled) selection is added to the original selection.
With click on Apply or the Enter key. -
Esc
Scaling is canceled and the original state is restored.
