Cut

This function is used to cut out a desired area of the pattern.

Copy a selected area to the clipboard and delete it simultaneously from the pattern:

  1. An area in the pattern must be selected.

    Call up the Cut function in the Edit menu.

    Click the icon in the Default toolbar.
    -  or  -
    Press the key combination Ctrl + X.
    -  or  -
    Select the Cut function in the context menu of the view.
  1. The content of the selected area will be copied to the clipboard and deleted from the pattern.

With the following functions you can enter the clipboard into the pattern.

With the Module / Generate from Selection / Pattern Element function, you save the cut-out selection as local pattern element.

You move an area in the pattern by carrying out the functions Cut and Paste consecutively, or move a selected area with the keys Ctrl and Shift depressed.
