Paste

The displayed pattern elements can be positioned in the pattern with the cursor.

I. Insert a pattern element in the pattern:

This function is active after generating or copying a pattern element.

  1. A pattern element or the content of the clipboard is located in the toolbar Tool Properties.

    Click the icon in the Default toolbar.

    Run the Paste function in the Edit menu.
    -  or  -
    Select the Paste function in the context menu of the view.
    -  or  -
    Press the key combination Ctrl + V.
  1. The pattern element or the clipboard is visible as echo at the cursor.
    Transparent areas are not displayed in the process.

    Click on the point in the pattern at which the pattern element is to be positioned.

If no pattern element exists, the last added pattern element will be used.

You can insert a pattern element at the right fabric selvedge even if it is cut off by the fabric selvedge.

II. Insert a pattern element which is cut off by the fabric selvedge at the left fabric selvedge:

  1. A pattern element is located in the Tool Properties toolbar.

    Click in the pattern with the left mouse button and hold down the mouse button.

    Move the cursor within the limits of the pattern element to the right edge of the pattern element with the mouse button pressed.

    Press and hold the Tab key.
  1. The cursor assumes the shape of a hand .

    Continue pressing the left mouse button and the Tab key. Move the cursor and the echo of the pattern element toward the left to the desired position so that the pattern element extends over the fabric selvedge.

    Release the left mouse button and the Tab key.
  1. You have inserted the pattern element on the left fabric selvedge so that it is cut off by the fabric selvedge.

The cursor position can be changed inside and outside the pattern element. For this purpose, press and hold the Roll key until the cursor has been moved to the desired position. The cursor with the pattern element cannot be moved beyond the left fabric selvedge.

During insertion in the pattern, you determine with the icons from the module data toolbar whether you only want to insert the needle action(s), only the color(s) or needle action(s) and color(s) in the pattern.
