Text as pattern element

In this dialog box you can write texts in order to appear in the pattern.
The text entered appears as pattern element in the module bar.
The dialog box is called up with the of the Drawing Tools toolbar.

Make the following settings in this dialog box:

Element

Meaning

Input field

Enter text.
The text entered appears in the preview.

Define the font type.
Open the Fonts dialog box and format the text.

Rotate text
Display the text vertically or horizontally.

Text

Select the presentation of the font:

  • Apply a color for the font (yarn color) from the Yarn Color toolbar.
  • Select a needle action for the font from the Needle Actions toolbar.

Background

Select the presentation of the background:

  • Select a color for the background (yarn color) in the Yarn Color toolbar.
  • Select a needle action for the background from the Needle Actions toolbar.

Text fields

The needle action for the Text or Background will be displayed.

Preview

The text entered appears in the selected color, size and font in dots. Each picture dot corresponds to a stitch

Input fields
Max. Height (stitches)
Max. Width (stitches)

Limit the entered text to the specified stitch number in height and width.

Close the dialog box.
A pattern element will be generated with the entered text.

Close

Cancel procedure and close dialog box.

You can delete the selection at the cursor with Esc.
Click into the Text or Background field without a selection at the cursor in order to apply transparent
