Insert Columns <pattern name>

This dialog box is used to insert empty columns, modules or a copy of selected columns into the active pattern.
The dialog box is called up with the column selected, using:

Call up the Edit / Insert Column... menu.

Make the following settings in this dialog box:

Element	Meaning
Empty columns	Empty columns are inserted in the pattern taking the input fields Number and From column and the option fields Arrow up and Arrow down into account.
Modules	If you have selected this option field, you can position a module from the Module Bar or the Module Explorer in the related field within the dialog box. This module is inserted in the pattern over the entire height. In the process, the settings in the Number input field and in the Arrow up and Arrow down option fields are taken into account. The following applies for fields with the icon : With Drag & Drop you can drag an appropriate module or a module group from the M1plus module explorer to the field.
Selection	A copy of the selected columns is inserted in the pattern taking the settings in the Number input field and the Arrow up and Arrow down options fields into account. With several unrelated selections, a copy is inserted for each selection. The Selection option field is only available when one or more columns are selected in the pattern.
Quantity	Depending on the selected option field, the number of empty columns, the number of repetitions of the selected module, or the number of copies of the selected column are inserted in the pattern. The default value is 1.
From column	Column from which the empty columns or the selected module is to be inserted. If you have selected one or more columns before opening the dialog box, then the lowest selected column number is applied in the dialog box. If you have not selected a column before calling up the dialog box, 1 appears in the entry field. This input field is not available when inserting the copy of a selected area.
	The empty columns, modules or selected columns are inserted to the right of the column specified in the From column input field.
	The empty columns, modules or selected columns are inserted to the left of the column specified in the From column input field.
k&w all needles	Only available with k&w! The defined number of columns is inserted. The defined number of columns and the corresponding 1x1 columns are inserted.

Buttons in the dialog box:

Button	Function
OK	Insert empty rows, modules or selected columns. The dialog box is closed.
Cancel	Close dialog box without making and insertions.
