Shape Attributes

With the shape attributes the properties of the shape edges and markings used for the pattern can be displayed and edited.
The Shape attributes dialog box is called up with the Shape Attributes... function in the Shape menu.
To display the shape edges or markings, you can select the Edges or Markings tab. The shape edges or markings are displayed in a table on the All tab.

With k&w, mode the shape edges can also be displayed with reference to the fabric pieces. The Left sleeve, Right sleeve and Body/Collar tabs are provided for this purpose. For the markings only the All tab is provided.

To display the attributes, first a shape edge or marking must be selected from the table. The attributes are in turn displayed in different tabs.

The following tabs with the attributes of the selected shape edges/markings are contained in the Shape attributes dialog box:

For the markings only the General tab is provided.

In the Narrow, Binding-off and Widen tabs, module groups for various knitting modes are available.

If a module group other than the one selectable from the list field is to be allocated, then this is possible with Drag & Drop. The module group must be dragged from the Module Explorer to the desired knitting mode. This module group is only used for this pattern, and is therefore no longer available for a new pattern.

Note that when a new change is made to the module allocation for this knitting mode, the module group allocated with Drag & Drop disappears from the selection.

A shape can also be allocated a module or a module group with Drag & Drop. If the fabric is generated with this shape, then these modules or module groups are also available in the shape attributes for this pattern.

If the module group is also to be available for other patterns, it must be moved to the corresponding directory in Module Explorer (see the respective description of the list field on the relevant tab).

Modules, and not module groups, are used on the Fade-out, Start and End tabs. The modules allocated to the various knitting modes in the display field can be displayed on the tabs, and the allocations can be changed. This is carried out in the same manner as with module groups.

A module can also be dragged from the Module toolbar to the knitting mode with Drag & Drop.

The shape attributes are automatically copied to this dialog box from the shape when the shape is generated from a cutting shape. In this case the file name of the cutting shape and the directory in which it is saved are also displayed.

You can cancel selection of the rows with the Esc key.

In the Selected edge/group section, which shape edge the attributes are displayed and which attribute group is allocated to this edge are displayed.
Analogous to this the section for markings is called Selected marking/group.
