Yarn carrier allocation (Machine attributes)

For each machine specifications exist in the machine database for the yarn carrier distance from the fabric selvedge and for the yarn carrier allocation specifications for the start.
These specifications are accepted for a new pattern in the machine attributes of the pattern parameters and are entered into the Yarn carrier allocation section of the Yarn field allocation dialog box from here.

Only the yarn carriers are entered whose yarn is contained in the display field of the Yarn field allocation dialog box.

The yarn carrier specifications can be displayed and edited in the Yarn carrier allocation dialog box.

Yarn carrier properties section

 

Display of the properties of a yarn carrier when the cursor is located on a yarn carrier. To change the properties, the yarn carrier must be selected by clicking on it. A selected yarn carrier can be recognized from a red border.

Yarn Carrier Type

List field for selecting the yarn carrier type.

Yarn
Number and type

Input field for the yarn number (color) of the yarn carrier.

List field for selecting a yarn designation (name) for the yarn carrier.
The following fixed allocation exists between the yarn number and the yarn type:

  • #201= Rib thread 1
  • #202=Rib thread 2
  • #203= Rib thread 3
  • #204= Rib thread 4
  • #205= Protective thread 1
  • #206= Protective thread 2
  • #207= Draw thread
  • #208= Comb thread
  • #209= Elastic thread
  • #213= Rib thread 5
  • #214= Rib thread 6
  • #215= Rib thread 7
  • #216= Rib thread 8

The yarn type Unknown will be allocated to another yarn number.

Engaging Value

Distance from the center of the yarn carrier carriage up to the stop point of the yarn carrier plunger.

  • Min: 11,5 mm
  • Max: 23 mm

Fully Fashion

If the checkbox is activated, the yarn carriers move to the home position during fully fashion knitting. A yarn carrier with this setting is moved to the position on the left edge (counter #L) or right edge (counter #R).

Graphic presentation of the yarn carrier rails 1 to 8 with the available stopping positions left and right.

Distance
left and right

Input field for the yarn carrier distance from the left or right fabric selvedge. The value range (in 1/16 inch) lies between 0 and 160. Changes cause the home positions on the rail to be moved in the graphic.
The values are accepted in the YD input fields of theYarn Field Allocation dialog box.
