Machine Explorer

All Stoll machines are managed in the Machine Explorer. You can put together your own machine pool. To connect a machine to the network or to enter your own specifications for a machine, it must be transferred from the Stoll machines to the directory of your own machines.

You open the Machine Explorer with the Machine Explorer... function in the Tools menu.

The machine explorer is an independent application which you can also start via the Windows Start menu . Several explorers can be opened at the same time. One directory is then active per explorer, and you can move the machines via drag & drop.

The machine explorer is divided into two windows. On the left side a directory tree is shown in which you can select which machines are to appear on the right-hand side.

The directory tree is divided into the following directories:

You cannot generate knitting programs for the machines of the B generation. You can, however, use the online function of the pattern workstation if the machines are networked with the workstation.
The different classes of the CMS generation can be identified by the various machine symbols.

In the Favorites directory, you can create links to the machines from the Stoll machines database and the customer machines database. Use this option for machines to which you often make changes (e.g. change of the yarn carrier specifications).

The Machine explorer has a context menu with which you can compose your own machine pool or display the properties of a machine.

You can move the separating line between the left and right windows to change the size of the windows.
