Options tab

On the Options tab, the following settings are made:

Yarn Length Control

Select machine side on which a yarn length control device is mounted.

Select machine side on which a feed wheel is mounted.

Auxiliary Take-down

If the checkbox is activated, the auxiliary take-down is used.

Comb

If the checkbox is activated, the comb is used.
: The checkbox is not available on machines without comb.
: If you have deactivated this checkbox, the Use comb checkbox is not available in the New pattern dialog box and in the Import picture dialog box when generating a new pattern.

Yarn Carrier Drive section

Type 1

Use Intarsia yarn carrier type 1 (120 mm).

Type 2

Use Intarsia yarn carrier type 2 (85 mm).

Clamping and cutting Positions section

Inactive

Activate this option field if the threads are to be clamped and cut.

8 --- 8

Activate this option field if the machine has 8 times clamping and cutting beds on the left and on the right.

16 --- 16

Activate this option field if the machine has 16 times clamping and cutting beds on the left and on the right.

16/8 --- 16/8

Activate this option field if the machine has 16 times clamping and cutting beds on the left and on the right and if the threads are to be clamped and cut at every second position only.

Yarn Carrier Specifications section

Without clamping and cutting

Call up the Yarn Carrier Allocation dialog box, in which you can specify the yarn carriers and their distance from the fabric edge. These specifications are used when generating a new pattern (without clamping and cutting).

With clamping and cutting

Call up the Yarn Carrier Allocation dialog box, in which you can specify the yarn carriers and their distance from the fabric edge. These specifications are used when generating a new pattern (with clamping and cutting).

knit and wear

Call up the Yarn Carrier Allocation dialog box, in which you can specify the yarn carriers and their distance from the fabric edge. These specifications are used when generating a new pattern (with k&w).

Section Electronic Feed Wheels

 

Specify the use and control of the EFS 820 and EFS 920 feed wheels.

  • Mixed operation of serial and CAN bus controlled EFS is not possible!
  • Set up groups on the Y -> Group (tab) tab of the Setup2 Editor

CAN

CAN bus controlled EFS

6 groups are available in Setup.

Serial

Use serial controlled EFS.

100 groups are available in Setup.

Memory extension section

List field
QCPU type

Select memory extension of the machine.

Pattern RAM [kB]

Display memory extension of the Stoll machine in KB.

: The memory extension is decisive for whether the machine memory is insufficient for a pattern and it may need to be divided into two or more parts.

Ident no.

Display ID number of the machine memory combination.

The settings made here are accepted in the Machine attributes dialog box and can be changed there.
On machines that do not have a clamping and cutting device, the With clamping and cutting button in the Yarn Carrier Specifications section is not available.
For the machine group B no Yarn carrier specifications can be made. Therefore, neither of these buttons is available for these machines.
