Pattern compatibility

Existing patterns can be used, on principal.

Note the following points:

If necessary replace starts (with/without comb)
Controle the take-down values

The replacement of the starts in case of design patterns will be carried out before the Complete expanding processing step with the Replace starts... in the Edit menu.
