Specifications (section in the Yarn carrier allocation dialog box)

The yarn carriers will be displayed as symbols in the Yarn carrier allocation dialog box.
The symbol shows the yarn carrier type and yarn type for the waistband start.

Distance
left and right

Input field for the yarn carrier distance from the left or right fabric selvedge. The value range (in 1/16 inch) lies between 0 and 160. Changes cause the home positions on the rail to be moved in the graphic.
The values are accepted in the YD input fields in the Yarn Field Allocation dialog box.

Tandem

A maximum of 32 yarn carriers can be displayed. For a pattern with more yarn carriers, these will not be shown completely . Reduce the colors present in the pattern.

The yarn carrier can be dragged to a position with Drag & Drop.
The following possibilities are available:

Cursor shape during Drag & Drop

Meaning

Permitted position on a yarn carrier rail.
With dropping the yarn carrier it is automatically allocated to the correct home position, beginning from the inside.
If yarn carriers are already present on the other side, then the yarn carriers are arranged accordingly taking the respective necessary free position on the opposite side into account.

Impermissible position for setting down the yarn carrier

The cursor is located in the New section.

Position of the recycle bin. The yarn carrier can be deleted by releasing the left mouse button.

The position Home position undefined can be used to briefly park a yarn carrier outside the yarn carrier rails for resorting. The yarn carriers at this position are not saved.
The moving of a yarn carrier can be canceled with the Esc key. The yarn carrier is placed at its old position.

If you move a yarn carrier on the rail a bit, its properties are accepted in the New section. This way, you can generate a new yarn carrier on the rail with the existing properties.

I. Display yarn carrier specifications of the machine database:

    Call-up the Tools / Machine Explorer.
  1. The McExplorer program will be started and the Machine Explorer dialog box appears.

    Open the context menu of the machine in the My machines or Favorites tab and run the Properties function.

    Select the Options tab.

    In the Yarn carrier specifications section, click on either the Without clamping and cutting, With clamping and cutting or Knit and wear button.
  1. The Yarn carrier allocation dialog box is opened for the selected operating mode.
    The specifications are displayed and can be edited.

II. Display yarn carrier specifications of the pattern:

  1. The pattern is open.

    Call-up the Pattern Parameters / Machine Attributes... menu.
  1. The Machine attributes dialog box appears.

    Select the Options tab.

    In the Yarn carrier specifications section, click on the Initialization values button.
  1. The Yarn carrier allocation dialog box appears.
    The specifications are displayed and can be edited.
