Doubling section

The Doubling section appears for the body and if present for the sleeves, if a start for the pattern is already selected, in the following dialog boxes:

In this section the following settings are made:

Activate Doubling.

Display
Start width

Starting width of the pattern as set in the input field for the width.
With fully fashion and k&w corresponding to the selected shape.

Waist width

Enter the desired waist width
: The waist width must be greater than the starting width of the pattern.
The waistband width is optimized automatically for a CMS T, i.e. widened by one or more stitches.

Select sub-groups of the (k&w) Technique / Narrowing multistage

Generate newly a basic pattern with Doubling:

    Call-up File / New Pattern... menu.
  1. The New Pattern dialog box appears.

    Select basic pattern and Design Pattern.

    Select Doubling.

    Enter Waist width.
    The value for the Waist Width has to be higher than the Starting Width.

    Close the New Pattern dialog box with Generate Design Pattern.
  1. The dialog box is closed. A basic pattern with placed shape appears.

    Run the Cut function.
  1. The shape will be cut-out and the waistband widened.
    For the right side one or more stitches less are automatically set out of shape than for the left side. With a right sleeve (left sleeve mirrored) one or more stitches less are automatically set for the left side.
