Jacquard Editor
The Jacquard Editor is a window of the Symbol View (Basic) for the graphic input and display of the MC Jacquard file.
Run the function in the menu to generate a new MC Jacquard.
Run the function in the menu to open an existing MC Jacquard. Select the corresponding file in the Open dialog box that appears.
The numbering of the jacquard lines can be defined by specifying the values for starting line and step width which can be set. The settings are made in the New jacquard editor dialog box and can be recalculated in the Number rows dialog box via the
control column.
The jacquard line number is used in the knitting program of the machine (Sintral) to allocate the corresponding jacquard line to the knitting command. The jacquard size (width x height) is displayed in the header line of the symbol view.
As with an M1plus pattern, the jacquard can be edited with all available drawing tools, and using the module technique.
I. Convert MC Jacquard:
- 1
- Run the function in the menu.
- The first letter of the module name is determined for each individual position in the pattern field and used for the MC Jacquard.
If this letter does not represent a valid jacquard symbol, the ? symbol is entered into the MC Jacquard.
In the case of a drawing a pattern to be converted into an MC Jacquard, the module found in each position is important. The yarn color used is irrelevant. The yarn colors can be used, however, to select areas within the pattern.
II. Working with modules greater than one needle and one row:
Since the same jacquard symbol is set at all module positions, using such modules usually does not make sense.
- 1
- If a certain module combination is to be used anyway, use pattern elements with different modules.
The pattern elements can also be saved in the module database.
III. Use tools which insert only one color into the pattern (e.g. text in pattern element, insert frame):
- 1
- Create color field.
- 2
- Fill module in the color field with the desired jacquard symbol. Call up the function for this.
For the yarn colors to be visible, the setting in the toolbar should be used.
To hide all yarn colors, you can switch to the setting in the toolbar. The yarn colors used as drawing aids are then no longer visible.
Run the View / function via the context menu of the toolbar for a clearer presentation of the modules.
Your own symbols can be assigned for modules you have created yourself. This allows, for example, a module with the jacquard symbol A to be represented in the symbol view as a front stitch.
