Basic information about the Module Explorer

The modules are organized in module groups. These are displayed in the left window in the so-called module tree. The name of the selected module group is shown in bold print. In addition, the name of the selected module group is also shown in a bar above the module tree. A module group is selected by clicking on the name with the left mouse button.

With the left mouse button pressed, you can move the module groups within the module tree. The module group that is moved becomes a sub-group of the module group in which you release the left mouse button again.

Various module groups are specified by Stoll. These contain additional subgroups with modules and pattern elements. In the right window you see the pictures of the modules contained in the selected module group. These are links to the modules in the database. The pictures are automatically calculated from the knitting sequence. The name of the module is shown below the picture. If you hold the mouse pointer on the picture for a moment, the size of the module appears in addition to the module name. Here the first number specifies the width and the second number the number of pattern rows of the module.
A module is selected by clicking on the picture with the left mouse key. The selection is deselected again when the module is clicked on again.
The name of the selected module also appears in a bar above the pictures and in the status line.
When a pattern is open, a selected module can be placed directly in the pattern.

Double-clicking it opens the module for editing in the Module editor.

The properties of a module are displayed with Alt and a double-click.

You can select and delete several modules in the Modules toolbar and in the Module Explorer.

So that you can quickly recognize which module type the module link is, the pictures have different markings:

In conjunction with the container module mirror there is the following attribute:

The upper left individual module from the container is selected for insertion in the pattern. Depending on which individual module has been selected, the light-gray square appears at the corresponding position.
The lower right single module has been inserted into the pattern and appears in the Local Modules and pattern elements tab of the Modules toolbar. Depending on which individual module has been inserted, the green square appears at the corresponding position.
Horizontal mirroring is deactivated.

Local module, pattern element or arrangement
Local modules, pattern elements or arrangements will be displayed and saved only with the active pattern (Modules toolbar and Module Explorer of Pattern toolbar).
You can save local modules, pattern elements or arrangements in the Module database.

With the left mouse button pressed, you can sort the pictures of the module links within a module group. For this purpose you must drag the picture to be moved onto another picture with Drag & Drop. The picture to be moved is sorted-in in front of this picture. If a picture is moved into the background area, then it is added on at the end.
