Drawing with modules

By selecting a module in the module bar or in the module explorer, drawing is carried out in the pattern with this module in dependence on the icon selected in the drawing tools toolbar.

Pencil

With the mouse button pressed, the modules are inserted in any line in the pattern. Use this tool when you want to insert the module individually.

Line

The module is repeated several times within a line.

Rectangle/Square

The selected module is inserted in the pattern within a square or rectangle. To insert in a square, you must hold down the Shift key at the same time.

Polygon

The selected module is filled in the pattern within a polygon.

Ellipse/Circle

The selected module is inserted in the pattern within a circle or an ellipse. To insert in a circle, you must hold down the Shift key at the same time.

Fill module in an area selected with the magic wand.

Fill up selections

Fill modules in an existing selection.

Multi-Copy

Insert modules into the pattern at a distance you can specify:

The Draw with Selection function can be activated and deactivated in the Selection menu.
If the function is activated, the drawn area is automatically selected.

Drawing with a module:

    Click on the desired module in the Module bar or Module explorer.
  1. Any active needle action is switched off. At the same time the Module echo is visible.

    Click on the desired drawing tool.

    Retain the set drawing tool.

    Draw with the module in the fabric.
  1. Needle actions located below the Module echo are overwritten when inserting the module.

The position of the module relative to the cursor can be changed with the Scroll button pressed. The setting is retained until another module is selected.

Any pattern area (a selection) can be moved at a later time.

With the module data toolbar, you can specify how the modules are inserted in the edge area of the selection and which module attributes are adopted in the pattern.
A module can also contain transparent areas. If you draw with this kind of module, then the pattern is not overwritten by the needle pairs with the transparent areas.
