Cycle counter RS
When entering a cycle in the Cycles dialog box, a cycle counter or counter can be allocated. This appears in the RS column and can still be changed later here.
The following selection possibilities are offered in the list field:
- ?: The lowest free cycle counter is automatically allocated by Technical Processing.
- RS1-19: The cycle counter you selected is used for the knitting program.
-
#1-99: The Technical Processing uses a counter for certain processes in order to cast-off only once over the entire machine width at the start of the pattern, with fully fashion fabrics for example .
When a counter is used by the user, the counter is set to the value he/she specifies in the knitting program and the cycle is repeated as often as the counter value has been given. -
Gauge: Depending on the entry in the Default column (negative value), the cycle is only carried out at the gauge specified in the Min and Max columns.
This entry is, for example, used for the starts of the comb machines with the modules supplied with the pattern workstation by Stoll. Here an additional cycle is carried out at the gauge E 16 – E 18.
In the knitting program #137 is entered for asking the gauge. -
=^=: Technical Processing uses this parameter to ensure that on machines with a comb, the comb is below in its home position before knitting-in the comb thread. This entry is also used for the starts of the comb machines with the modules supplied with the pattern workstation by Stoll.
In the knitting program #140 is entered for asking the limit switch from the comb. - Direct: The cycle is repeated with the value specified in the Default column.

Various areas in the pattern can be allocated the same cycle counter. The parameters in the columns Type, Min, Max and Default must be identical. A modification to an entry is applied to other entries with the same cycle counter.
