To cut into halves

This dialog box is used to cut shapes in half. Halving can occur vertically or horizontally.
The dialog box is opened by the Halve function in the Edit menu.

It is important to halve in order to avoid different halves deriving from rounding errors with symmetrical shapes.
If several shapes are present in a file, all shapes are halved based on the settings.

Make the following settings in this dialog box:

Element	Meaning
top-bottom	Halve shape horizontally, where the area displayed in red is retained (upper or lower area).
left-right	Halve shape vertically, where the area displayed in red is retained (left or right area).
Add to macro	Save the settings as macro. The macro is available in the Show macros dialog box also for other shapes.
Button Do	Halve shape based on the settings in the dialog box. The dialog box is closed.
Button Close	Close dialog box without applying changes.
