Expand design pattern
The processing step expand pattern marks the transition from design pattern (Design mode) to the technical pattern (Technical mode).
Before expanding the modules and arrangements, you can specify how the color areas of the pattern and the transfer processes will be positioned to each other:
- The resolution of the color areas in the pattern can be determined via Color Arrangements.
- The sequence of the transfer processes can be determined via Module Arrangements.
The Color Arrangements and the Module Arrangements will be applied to the pattern in an automatic processing step, together with the specifications from the drawn-in modules. A design pattern becomes a technical pattern.
Depending on the pattern, the following individual steps are carried out automatically:
- Generate pattern in new format (MDE)
- Apply row data from the design pattern
- Apply needle related data from the design pattern
- Apply gore data
- Apply docking symbols
- Expand rows according to Color Arrangements
- Expand Jacquards
- Evaluate docking symbols and fold-in areas (Fully Fashion and k&w)
- Expand modules according to the Module Arrangements
- Place Transfer Inward modules and Tubular connections at the shape markings
- Insert modules that are not contained in the Module Arrangement (e.g. modules with limit conditions, binding-off modules)
- Expand shape modules
- Use starts
- Call-up the technical rules
When expanding, the row data of the arrangements are applied; the row data of the Module Arrangement have priority.
The following row data from the pattern row will be applied to the technical rows inserted additionally by a MA:
- Transfer Surrounding
- Multi-system Transferring
- Group cast-offs/transfers
- Transfer - distribute depending on layer
Modules that are located in the pattern in pattern rows without any assigned arrangement will be expanded according to the currently set racking priority.
The racking priority and the separating method is decisive for separated pattern areas (configuration).
