Connect to other database (Machine Explorer)

In this dialog box you change the database links for your own machines and for Stoll machines.

Open the Connect to other database dialog box and change the database link:

  1. The Machine Explorer is executed as administrator.

    Call up the Options function in the Tools menu.

    Call up the Connect to other database... button.
  1. The Connect to other database dialog box appears.

    Call-up the Browse... button.
  1. The Open dialog box appears.

    Select a *.sdf file and confirm the dialog box with Open.
    mcstoll_*.sdf for Stoll machines
    mcclient_*.sdf for My machines

    Confirm and close the Connect to other database dialog box with the Connect to database button.

    Confirm and close the Options dialog box with OK button.
  1. The Machine Explorer is linked to the selected database.

In the Options dialog box you see the following information:

File name of database for database connection:

Path and file name of the machine data base
Enter the path directly or call up the Open dialog box via Browse.

Display
Version No.:

Version of the selected machine database

Display
Version date:

Creation date of the selected machine database

Display
No. of machines:

Number of machines included in the selected machine data base.
