The YLC3 mode is a pre-stage of the yarn length control according to YLC1, YLC 7 or YLC 8.
The YLC3 mode is used for determining the correction values for all yarn carriers with a test fabric before the production.
- The test fabric has the same knitting width (SEN) as the pattern.
- Each yarn carrier of the pattern is knitted until the target value of the yarn length is reached.
- Automatic switch to the next yarn carrier until all the yarn carriers are pre-adjusted.
- Automatical switch to YLC1. The determined correction values are used for YLC1.

Production in the YLC1, YLC7, or YLC8 mode is carried out without ongoing measuring.
As the working conditions may change in the course of production, the test fabric should be repeated from time to time.
