Working with the plush device
The running reliability of the pattern depends on:
- Yarn thickness
- Yarn quality
- Yarn tension
- Carriage Speed
|
Yarn quality
| - No special motif thread (plush thread) is required.
- As a rule, the binding thread is thinner than the motif thread.
|
Yarn thickness
| Final count [Nm] = binding thread + motif thread
|
Yarn tension
| - Adjust the yarn tension for the binding thread somewhat higher than the tension for the motif thread.
|
Carriage Speed
| Start with a somewhat lower carriage speed (e.g. 0.7 m/sec) and increase it step by step. Standard value: 0.8 m/sec
If drop stitches appear, you must reduce the carriage speed. The carriage speed depends on:
- the yarn properties
- the yarn tension
- the knitting pattern
|
Set up pattern on the machine
| Execute the adjustment work carefully before starting the production.
|
If the binding thread tears during the production
| We recommend: Switch the needle selection off and re-start the fabric. Reason: If the binding thread tears the needle latches are in an undefined state and can collide with the yarn carrier for the motif thread (damage of the needle latches).
