Assembly - front carriage box
The plush attachment has been assembled in the rear carriage box.
On the front carriage box, new needle brushes are assembled opposite to the plush attachment.

These are not centrally assembled but inserted at about 10 mm towards the inside. This ensures that the needle latches open reliably and the needle brushes assist the process of holding down the binding thread.
The brushes are built-in correctly if the following distance (X) exists between the brushes:
|
| X |
EKC machine | 19 mm |
OKC 6.0 machine E10│E12│E14│E6.2│E7.2 | 8 mm |
OKC 6.0 machine E5│E7│E8│ E2,5.2│E3,5.2│E5.2 | 12.4 mm |
CMS 740 | 12.4 mm |
OKC 2.0 machine | 12.4 mm |
Watch out the following points:
- If the needle brush is swiveled, its lower end may lightly contact the holding-down jacks.
Ensure that the brush at the end of the needle bed cannot take a thread along. - The brushes may not scrape against the yarn carrier 1 or even get stuck with it.
