Working with 'Within Shape' Shape Element

You can add information to shapes via a 'Within Shape' shape element which will be applied to all copies of it.

  1. The image is reduced to the desired quantity of colors.
  2. A pattern project with one pattern and the desired settings is created.
  3. The image is available as pattern element in the Pattern Elements tool window
  4. The basic shape of 'Pattern-8' is created and can be imported.

    Import the Front of 'Pattern-8' shape into the pattern project.

    Open the Shapes tab.

    Open the shape by double-clicking.
  1. The basic shape is graphically displayed in the New shape xx [size x] document window.

    In the line table, position the cursor in the area next to the Basic Shape button -> open the context menu by RMB and select Add New Shape Element....
    - or -
    Position the cursor in the xx document window within the basic shape, open the context menu with the RMB and select Add New Shape Element....

    In the selection menu select the desired shape element Within Shape -> Symmetrically.

    Adjust the Within Shape in the line table or in the document window by size and outline in order to insert the pattern element (image).

    Put the cursor on the shape element Within Shape within the line table or within its area in the document window.

    Position the shape element with the Anchor of Shape Element within the basic shape.

    Open the context menu with RMB and select Shape Element Properties.
  3. The Shape Element Properties tool window is displayed.

Shape Element

The reference point for calculating the height stepping of a line is at the bottom left of the shape element.

Basic Shape

The reference point for calculating the height stepping of a line is at the bottom left of the basic shape.

: The calculation of the height steppings depends on

  • The selected stepping kind of the line
  • The start position of the shape element (even / odd row)

Free Border

The selected knitting element is only entered into the cutting element as a complete unit.

Exact to Border

The selected knitting element is entered into the cutting element as a complete unit.
If necessary, the knitting element is cut off by the edge of the shape element.

: The cut knitting elements may no longer be technically correct! Check them!!!

Cover Border

The selected knitting element is entered into the cutting element as a complete unit.
Knitting elements will not be cut off at the edge of the shape element, but inserted as a whole exceeding the edge.

You can move the knitting element within the shape element or basic shape in the x and y directions.

    Select the desired pattern element under Filling Options -> Content in the empty selection panel:

    Close the Shape Element Properties tool window.

    Open and position shape the shape in the Design Pattern document window.

: If the basic pattern is too small for the positioning of the shape, then the size of the basic pattern will be automatically adjusted to the size of the shape.

: This adjustment always takes place with Front Stitch with Transfer .

    If necessary, add the desired Jacquard to the pattern element shown in the design pattern.

    Start the Technical Processing.

    Extract the knitting program.
  1. A program for the knitting machine will be created: CMS530.Pattern-8.zip.

    Load knitting program into the machine.

: The extracted file CMS530.Pattern-8.zip can be loaded onto the machine with an USB stick or via Ethernet.
