Selected Drawing Functions

The drawing functions were presented in the introduction under Tools.
This chapter will explain with more details the drawing functions you select.

In principle, a drawing tool must be selected for each drawing action.
The tool that is used most is the Retângulo.

With the following drawing elements, some also combined, you can draw the design:

To be able to draw with a needle action, you select a drawing tool and a needle action of the Ações da agulha tool window.

Needle actions that were already used in the pattern can be picked with the cursor using the F5 key.

To remove the needle action from the cursor, you press the ESC key.

Select a drawing tool and a pattern color in order to draw with pattern colors.

With the F6 key you pick a color that is already used in the pattern.

To remove the pattern color from the cursor, you press the ESC key.

Use PANTONE® Colors

With access to PANTONE® Connect, you can apply PANTONE® colors to the Cores da amostra tool window.

    Select the desired color in PANTONE® Connect.

    Copy the RGB value of the desired color.
    e.g. #007DC3

    Call up the Alterar cor... context menu of the desired pattern color.

    Paste the RGB value in the Cores dialog box.

    Open the Knit Explorer with F3 or in the ribbon VistaExplorador.
  1. The Knit Explorer appears in a separate window.

    Select a module from one of the following folders:

    Módulos de estrutura
    Basic knitting mode, ribs, Pointelle and building blocks for Aran and cable stitch patterns.

    Partes de amostra
    Subfolder with Jacquard, Pointelle and Aran pattern elements.

    Jacquard
    Technical modules for defining Jacquard areas.

    Começos
    Various modules for the fabric start.

    Fully Fashion
    For example modules that are very important for shaped knitwear.
    For example narrowing, widening, binding-off and hiding modules
  3. Due to your selection the modules is automatically attached to the cursor.

    Draw a module in the pattern using the cursor.

    When you don't need the module anymore, press ESC.

Only after having created or imported a pattern element you will be able to draw with a pattern element.

Generate pattern element:

    Select the specific area of your pattern, which you want to save as pattern element.

    Click on your selection in the pattern with the right mouse pattern.

    Select the function Seleção Criar parte de amostra... .
  3. The pattern element was created and appears in the Partes de amostra tool window.

    Select the pattern element clicking on it and position it in the pattern.

Import Pattern Element:

  1. A design project is open.
  2. A (*.spef) Stoll Pattern Element file is available.

    Click on the Partes de amostra tool window with the right mouse button.

    Select the Import Pattern Element... function.
  3. The Open dialog window appears.

    Select your SPEF file

    Confirm the selection clicking on Open.
  5. The pattern element appears in the tool window.
