Image File Settings

In the Configurações do ficheiro de imagem dialog box you make the following settings for the export of the fabric view:

Origem da imagem

Origem

Select image source

  • Amostra completa
    Exports a complete fabric piece.
  • Área selecionada
Exports only the desired, selected section of a pattern.
This function is helpful in case cycles are to be used in a 3D apparel software.
  • Atual setor da imagem
Exports only the area that currently appears in the document window of the fabric view.

Tamanho da imagem

Tamanho

Select size specification format

DPI or Pixels

DPI

Enter DPI value

Altura em pixels

Enter height in pixels

Largura em pixels

Enter width in pixels

Manter a proporção

The size ratio of the pattern is maintained

Agulhas

Width of the image file in needles

Fileiras

Height of the image file in rows

Largura

Width of the image file in cm

The specification corresponds to the set stitch density

Altura

Height of the image file in cm

The specification corresponds to the set stitch density

Densidade das malhas

Specification, in the Propriedades de amostra selected stitch density

Ajustes de arquivo

Nome de arquivo

Display of the pattern name

Formato de imagem

Select image format

PNG
JPEG or
TIFF

When selecting PNG:

PNG canal alfa

PNG with or without transparency
Export the fabric view for further processing to a 3D apparel software always as PNG with enabled transparency (PNG canal alfa).

Compactação / Redução de cores

As imagens são reduzidas a 256 cores. A qualidade das imagens pode ter um impacto negativo. Mas o tamanho do ficheiro é reduzido muito.

When selecting JPEG:

Qualidade JPEG

JPEG with specification of the quality
The fabric view as JPG is always exported with a black background.

Independently from the selection of the image format:

Exportar como arquivo U3M

Export as U3M file

U3M is a standardized format for 3D visualization.
This includes physical properties data and texture maps, all combined into one ZIP file (U3MA).

Exportar como U3MA (arquivo)

Exports the files compressed in a U3MA zip file.

Exportações

So-called Maps are used for the 3D visualization and 3D simulation to assign two-dimensional images to the three-dimensional surfaces of the models.
The different types of Maps give a more detailed and realistic appearance to the computer generated 3D models.

Base Map

Export Base Map

Base Map is the basic texture with the visible colors.

Alpha Map

Export Alpha Map

An alpha Map contains information about transparent areas of a texture.
In a 3D software it is required to define the transparent space.

Normal Map

Export Normal Map

The Normal Map, also called Bump Map, specifies the angle, with which virtual light is reflected over a digital surface.

With it the appearance of the texture depth is simulated.

The Normal Map is a necessary part of digital textures in a 3D software.

Displacement Map

Export Displacement Map

A Displacement Map, also called Height Map, can artificially generate an additional height of a digital texture.

This way, a more realistic appearance of three-dimensional surface structure results within a 3D model.

Lado dianteiro

Export the corresponding selection as the front side

Lado posterior

Export the corresponding selection as the rear side
