Yarn Carrier Ribbon

The Yarn Carriers tab appears if you click on the Start tab, in the Preview group, on Yarn Carriers.

Click on the red-framed areas of the image to access the description directly.

You make the following settings on the Yarn Carriers tab:

Show Yarn Carriers

Open the 'Show Yarn Carriers' tool window. Check and modify the yarn carrier allocation.

Yarn Feeding

Opens the Yarn Feeding table to enter notes for yarn feeding.

Store Yarn Carrier in Magazine

Puts the yarn carriers from the tracks back to the magazine. Excluded are yarn carriers inserted by you as yarn carrier colors.

Reassign Preallocation by Technique

Assigns the yarn carriers with technique colors to the tracks corresponding to the preallocation.

Initialize

Re-calculates the yarn carrier allocation. The original data will be restored and the yarn carrier specifications from the preallocation by technique will be applied.

Allocate Rails

Allocates the yarn carriers from the magazine automatically to the yarn carrier tracks. You can see the rail allocation in the 'Yarn Carrier' dialog box.

Select one of the following options for Intarsia motif with ornamental stitch color:

  • Fancy stitch color in front of basic color

The yarn carrier of the ornamental stitch color is placed on a rail that is in front of the rail of the yarn carrier of the basic color.

  • Fancy stitch color behind of basic color

The yarn carrier of the ornamental stitch color is placed on a rail that is behind the rail of the yarn carrier of the basic color.

  • Do not distinguish

The yarn carriers of the ornamental stitch color and the basic color will be positioned arbitrarily to each other.

Secure yarn insertion

Allocation of the yarn carriers for the secure yarn insertion at widenings of intarsia color fields.

Synchronize

Applies the changes from the Design Pattern to the open Yarn Carrier View and synchronizes both views to the current state of the pattern.

Apply

Applies changes for yarn carriers to the Design Pattern. Other changes (e.g. of color parameters) will be applied at once.

Apply and Close

Applies changes for yarn carriers to the Design Pattern and closes the view. Other changes (e.g. of color parameters) will be applied at once.

Cancel and Close

Rejects modifications and closes the Yarn Carrier View.
