Importing M1plus Patterns into CREATE PLUS

  1. M1plus pattern is created by the most recent M1plus release
  2. M1plus pattern is loaded in the state of Basic Pattern or Shaped Pattern

    If necessary, save the pending shape xx.shr as xx.shp.

    Remove pending shape.

    Export the pattern from M1plus without the shape.
    Select the CPS Export (*.spfm1) file type in the Save Pattern As dialog box.

    Open the *.spfm1 file in CREATE PLUS.
  1. The pattern will appear in a new project.
  2. Saving the pattern by CREATE PLUS will automatically use the file name extension *.spf.

Tips and Tricks About Importing M1plus Patterns

  • A pattern in the cut out state will be created by CREATE PLUS if an FF pattern with a floating shape is exported from M1plus.
    Better you export separately:
    • Export the basic pattern without the shape.
    • Import the shape (*.shp file extension) directly into the CREATE PLUS.

  • If the M1plus pattern has several yarn fields for one color in the Yarn Field Allocation with different parameters, then CREATE PLUS creates the color and the corresponding quantity of sub-colors in the color parameter table.
    • The sub-colors must be entered afterwards in the Design pattern, so that the settings from the Color parameter table be effective.
  • If for the M1plus pattern Multi-system knitting is selected in the Yarn field allocation, a multiple system color is created in the CREATE PLUS.
    • The multiple system color must be entered afterwards in the Design pattern.
  • If for the M1plus pattern Plating is selected in the yarn field allocation, a plating color is created in the CREATE PLUS.
    • The plating color must be entered afterwards in the Design pattern.
  • If the M1plus pattern contains Color Arrangements, they must be inserted in the Color Arrangement control column of the M1plus pattern.
    • Check the content of the Color Arrangements in the CREATE PLUS.
  • If the *.spfm1 file of the CREATE PLUS is not opened, then check the versions of the M1plus and the CREATE PLUS.
    • Recommendation:
      Create the *.spfm1 file with the most recent version of the M1plus and then promptly open and save the corresponding version of the CREATE PLUS.
