Basic Page Layout (dialog box)

In this dialog box you can make the following settings in order to create your own template of a page layout.

You call up the Basic Page Layout dialog box by the Basic Page Layout... button of the Options dialog box.

Printer


Open the picklist and select the desired printer.
The current state of the selected printer will be displayed.

Settings

  • Paper Format

    Open the picklist and select the desired attribute.
  • Orientation
    Open the picklist and select the desired attribute.
    • Landscape
    • Portrait
  • Save
    Saves the page layout as it is shown in the preview.
  • Export
    Saves the page layout as it is shown in the preview under different name or path.
  • Import
    Imports a saved page layout.
  • Placeholder
    Picklist of placeholder for information about the order.

    You can position placeholders in the preview by the Insert Placeholder context menu.

    Tab Information

The preview shows the positioned placeholders and the separator bars of header and footer (red arrows).

  • Insert Placeholder
    • Insert placeholders at the mouse position in the preview.
  • Insert Placeholder with its Title
    • Insert placeholders with its title at the mouse position in the preview.
    • Example
      Placeholder:
      Printed hard copy: Season: Spring

You can enter the @ character directly into a placeholder in order to print the title of the placeholder.

  • Insert Text

    Insert a text box at the cursor position and type the text.
    You can rotate or delete the text box with the context menu of the graspers.
  • Insert Picture 1 and Insert Picture 2
    Inset left and right image of the Information tab.
    You can rotate or delete the text box with the context menu of the image.

  • Insert Table

  • Insert Arrow

    Insert an arrow and drag it with the mouse into the desired direction.
  • Restore Stoll Page Layout
    The Stoll Page Layout is only available for A4 Landscape.

  • Zoom in the preview

  • Zoom out the Preview

  • Best fit to the Preview
  • Fit to Width
    Full Width as Preview
  • Whole Page
    Full Page as Preview
  • Two Pages
    Two Pages as Preview

How to Formate Texts to Print out:

  1. Select the name of the placeholder including its brackets.
    Example: [Season]
  • The mini toolbar with the formatting tools appears.
  1. Click the desired formatting items.
  1. Move the cursor away from the mini toolbar and the placeholder box.
  • The new text styles are applied to the text.
    Accordingly formatted text appears in the print preview.
    Example: Bold, italic and centered

Incompletely selected placeholders will not be replaced by text within the print preview.

How to Position the Placeholders with these Graspers:

  • Move
    Click the grasper and move the placeholder with the mouse button pressed.
  • Rotate
    Click the grasper and rotate the placeholder around its center point with the mouse button pressed.
  • Change Width
    Click the grasper and drag the placeholder wide or narrow with the mouse button pressed.
    The text will break if necessary.
  • Scale
    Click the grasper and draw the placeholder great or small with the mouse button pressed.
    • Moving the mouse to the center point makes the placeholder smaller and reduces the font size
    • Moving the mouse to the center point enlarges the placeholder and the font
