Get the yarn need for the fabric pieces and the whole article calculated:

  • As basis in order to dispose the yarns
  • …
  1. Create a new shape file.
  1. Select the Make edit boxes for yarn consumption available option in the Yarns ribbon.
  1. Define the yarns in the Yarn Definition tool window.

  1. Define pattern colors and knitting techniques.
  • For the fabric piece
  • At start
  • For marking points
  • For shape elements
  • For knitting areas
  1. Allocate the defined yarns to pattern colors.

  1. Open the Yarn Consumption tool window.

  1. Generate and knit the standard size of the pattern.
  1. Weigh the finished article.
  1. Enter the weight in the Yarn Consumption tool window.
  1. Refresh the calculation.
