General tab (shape edge)

For each shape edge a stitch length and an edge width for its application can be specified.

The rubrics are only active if a shape edge was selected.

In the General (shape edge) tab, the following settings are made:

Display of the number of the selected edge:

Display of the group number of the selected edge:

Function section

Display the function of a selected shape edge or allocate a function to a selected shape edge.
The following functions are available for selection:

  • Widening
  • Narrowing
  • Binding-off.
  • Goring (only k&w)

Designation of k&w Part section

 

This section is only available if this operating mode was selected in the New pattern dialog box.

Display the shape part number of a selected shape edge.

Shape element

Display the shape element from the k&w shape to which the selected shape edge is allocated.
The following functions are available for selection:

  • Basic
  • Neck opening
  • Hole
  • Gore
  • Opening

Side

Display or allocate the left or right-hand side, where the selected shape edge is located.

Stitch length at shape edge section

 

You can see the change of stitch length regarding to the rest of pattern (NPJ) in the Symbol View by the icon if the Change of Stitch Length function of the Pattern Presentation toolbar and the zoom level >6 are active.

Select NP index for front from a list field

NP back

Select NP index for back from a list field

NP front

Enter NP value for front.

NP back

Enter NP value for back.

Width Needles

Enter width in needles, in which the stitch length at the shape edge is to be used.

So that the stitch length on the shape edge is used with Technical Processing, the checkbox Different Stitch Length at Shape Edge must be activated in the Configuration dialog box.
