Global Pattern Parameters...
The global pattern parameters are values specified for the pattern parameters that are used when generating new patterns. The global pattern parameters can be changed via the function and saved as a new specification.
The global pattern parameters are the basis for the parameters in the Configuration / Configuration k&w dialog box and in the pattern parameter tables.
Configuration/k&w Configuration
Special machines and gauges require specific pattern parameters:
- These pattern parameters are saved by default as Stoll templates in files with label for machine classification, gauge and further settings.
- Example:
D:\ Stoll\ M1plus\<Version>\ ConfigData\GlobalParameters_752_E9.2.mdv - When selecting a specific machine and gauge in the New pattern dialog box, the file with the corresponding pattern parameters is automatically loaded.
- Further settings beside machine classification and gauge:
- Belt Take-Down (_B)
- Belt Take-Down with Comb (_Bc)
- Quantity of yarn carriers for ADF 682 + ADF 686 (_Y)
- You can save your own pattern parameters as your own template, the pattern parameters that differ from the Stoll templates.
- Example:
D:\ Stoll\ M1plus\<Version>\ConfigData\Private\GlobalParameters_752_E9.2.mdv - Your own pattern parameters are automatically loaded, when selecting the corresponding machine and gauge in the New pattern dialog box.
- Some pattern parameters will be copied to the corresponding directories by the update to the new release.
D:\ Stoll\ M1plus\<New version>\ConfigData\Private\...
The function is not available when a pattern or module is open.
For a module, the parameters are also adopted from the global pattern parameters. However, these cannot be changed. However, you can add and edit your own entries.
Sequence with which the global pattern parameters are used in the pattern:
In case you created your own pattern parameters that differ from the Stoll templates, they will be used with the following priority.
- Machine specific private file
- Machine specific Stoll template
- Private default file
- Stoll default file
How to create your own global pattern parameters for a specific machine class and gauge:
- The new pattern or module must not yet exist.
- 1
- Open the pattern parameter file with label for machine classification and gauge.
Example: D:\ Stoll\ M1plus\ 4.x.xxx\ ConfigData\ GlobalParameters_752_E9.2.mdv - 2
- Run the function in the menu.
- The Global Pattern Parameters dialog appears.
- 3
- Select the desired template under .
- 4
- If necessary, transfer to a specific machine.

- 5
- If necessary, limit to a specific gauge.

- 6
- Click on Generate new file.
- The new file appears in the right column.
The file name contains the identification of the selected machine and gauge. - 7
- Click on Open user-defined file.
- The GlobalParameters dialog box appears where you call up the following dialog boxes and pattern parameter tables:

- Call up the desired dialogs and pattern parameter tables.
- 9
- Change the settings and save them in the corresponding dialog box.
- A new pattern or module for this machine and gauge will automatically be generated on the basis of the changed, private global pattern parameters.
- Your private global pattern parameters will be copied to the corresponding directories by the update to the new release.
D:\ Stoll\ M1plus\<New version>\ConfigData\Private\...
How to display the global pattern parameters:
- No pattern or module may be open.
- 1
- Run the function in the menu.
- The Global Pattern Parameters dialog appears.
- 2
- Select the desired template under .
- 3
- Click on Open Stoll template write protected.
- The GlobalParameters dialog box appears.
- 4
- Call up dialogs or pattern parameter tables.
- You can view the specified pattern parameters without creating new, private templates.
- 5
- Exit dialogs or pattern parameter tables with Cancel.
