SELAN
The SELAN window is a standalone Windows application.
SELAN is opened automatically via the following functions in the context menu of the Machine explorer:
If the machines are interconnected via Ethernet, several connections may be opened. Each connection is displayed in its own window within the SELAN window.
Get information from or send information to the machine:
- 1
- Enter direct command after the entry prompt (SELAN >>).
The entered text is automatically converted to uppercase letters.
- 2
- Press the Enter key.
- The command is sent to the machine. The response of the machine is then listed in the window.
The online connection can be ended by entering the command QUIT or END, or by closing the window.
If a connection to a machine exists, it is closed automatically after one minute if no commands were entered. In this way, another pattern workstation can access the machine if necessary.
