Generate Container Module Mirror

Generate a container module mirroring:

  1. In the individual module used for the Container module mirroring, the check box knit and wear module on the Technical tab of the Properties of: <`module name> dialog box must be activated.
  2. The module may only have the front knitting layer (L0).
    1
    Run the New / Container module mirroring... function in the Module menu.
  1. The New container module mirroring dialog box appears.
    2
    Select a module from the Modules toolbar or the Module explorer and position it the lower left field of the dialog box.
    -  or  -
    Pull the module into the dialog box with Drag & Drop.
  1. The module picture (= original module) appears. The horizontally mirrored module for the knitting layer L0 and the two modules for the knitting layer L1 will be generated and displayed in the dialog box. These contain the symbol in the lower right corner as a marking. The respective module name is shown below the pictures. If the original module contains the name ending _0<, the name endings for the automatically generated modules will be changed by the M1plus as follows:

Original

From M1plus

_1<

_1>

_0<

_0>

The name ending contains information about knitting layer and mirroring:
0 = Knitting layer 0 (front)
1 = Knitting layer 1 (back)
< = unmirrored (left column in dialog box)
> = mirrored (right column in dialog box)
The container module contains the name of the original module without the name ending _0<.

If you hold the cursor on the module in the dialog box, the module name will be displayed as well and additionally the size of the module. Here the first number indicates the number of needles of the module and the second number the number of pattern rows.

    Click on the OK button.
  1. The picture of the container module appears in the Module Explorer in the New modules module group.

When converting the module from the front to the back knitting layer, the design is applied as a phantom view. This means that with a cable stitch cross-over from left to right on the front knitting layer, this appears as a cross-over from right to left on the rear knitting layer.
If you also require the cross-over from left to right on the rear knitting layer, use the mirrored module of the rear knitting layer.
If the mirroring modules are generated automatically in a mirroring container, then the substitute symbols for the symbol view will be mirrored as well.

The pictures of the mirror container modules have the icon in the lower right corner.

You can also insert a different module for the automatically generated modules. Here the following must be observed:
