Fair Isle

How to define a Fair Isle narrowing at the body:

    • Fair Isle narrowing by six steps is required.
    • The dimensioned shape is opened in the Dimensioning View FormularShapeView.
    • The armhole narrowing startpoint and the shoulder endpoint are dimensioned horizontally and vertically.

  1. Open the context menu for the left diagonal shape line of the narrowing in the back.

  2. Select the ShapeLinePropertiesLine Properties.
    • The Line Properties tool window appears.
  3. Activate CheckBoxOnShow Line Preview.
    • The selected shape line and the mirrored shape line appear in the line preview on the right.

  4. Go to the Stepping Parameters group box.
  5. Select the List Box WhiteFair Isle option in the Stepping KindFairIsleLineAttrib list box.
    • The detail view updates.

  6. Select the RadioOnQuantity of Steps option button.
    • The TextBox+Spin_1 edit box on the right appears enabled.
    • The TextBox+Spin_1 edit box for the RadioOffQuantity of markings option button appears grayed out.
  7. Select the quantity 6 in the TextBox+Spin_1 edit box.
    • The detail view updates.

  8. Select the even-numbered option in the Stepping in the HeightList Box White list box.
  9. Select the 1 Stitch option in the Cover WidthList Box White list box.
  10. Select the List Box Whiteunderneath option in the Look of the NarrowingNarrowLookBelow list box.
  11. Click on the line ID MM of the main row in the Line table.
    • In the group box below appear the attributes of the main row.
  12. Go to the Attributes of line M section.
  13. Select the Fair Isle + Doubling, Stitch v module in the List Box White list box of the Multi-step Narrowing group box.
  14. Keep the value 0 in the Inner distanceTextBox+Spin_1 edit box.
  15. Click on the line ID S. 1 of the first sub-row in the Line table.
    • In the group box below appear the attributes of the S. 1 row.
  16. Go to the Attributes of line S. 1 section.
  17. Keep the selected module in the List Box White list box of the Multi-step Narrowing group box.
  18. Select the value 7 in the Inner distanceTextBox+Spin_1 edit box.
  19. Click on the line ID S. 2 of the second sub-row in the Line table.
    • In the group box below appear the attributes of the S. 2 row.
  20. Go to the Attributes of line S. 2 section.
  21. Keep the selected module in the List Box White list box of the Multi-step Narrowing group box.
  22. Select the value 7 in the Inner distanceTextBox+Spin_1 edit box.
  23. Click on the line ID S. 3 of the third sub-row in the Line table.
    • In the group box below appear the attributes of the S. 3 row.
  24. Go to the Attributes of line S. 3 section.
  25. Keep the selected module in the List Box White list box of the Multi-step Narrowing group box.
  26. Select the value 7 in the Inner distanceTextBox+Spin_1 edit box.
    • The Fair Isle narrowing in the back is represented by a six-step shape line.
