New Pattern

A new pattern can be generated with this dialog box.
The dialog box is opened by the New Pattern function in the File menu.

Make the following settings in this dialog box:

Pattern name

Enter the name of the pattern.
The dialog box will be opened with the display noname [n+1]. The number n is the number of patterns generated from M1plus Start.

Machine section

Display the properties of the machine.

  • Machine Name
  • Number of carriages
  • Gauge
  • System Distance
  • Total number of needles
  • Setup Type

Display field with selection symbol

Call up the Select machine dialog box to select a machine.

Shapes section

Doubling section

Type of pattern section

Option Buttons

Select pattern and pattern design technique.
: The selection remains valid until the dialog box is called up again.

Basic pattern (pattern without shape)

Shaped Pattern (Fully Fashion pattern)

k&w pattern (knit and wear seamless articles)
Ensure that the comb checkbox is activated in the My machine properties when selecting a machine of your own.

Create the pattern in the Design Mode graphically

Technical Pattern

Create the pattern in the Technical Mode
: You can generate k&w pattern in the Design Mode only.

Basic pattern section

List field for the module selection
with Drag & Drop symbol

Select the module with which the basic pattern will be filled. The modules from the module group Stoll/Basic pattern or knit and wear/k&w_Basic Pattern (only for k&w patterns) of the Module Explorer are offered in the list field.

  • Container modules of this module group are not offered.
  • The Not module results in the needle action Not in the pattern.
  • The selection remains valid until the dialog box is called up again.
  • Create and use own modules when you want to use specific control column data repeatedly for new patterns.

Enter number of pattern rows.

Start section

The following applies for fields with the icon :
With Drag & Drop you can drag an appropriate module from the Modules toolbar or the Module Explorer onto the field.

Open the Module Explorer and display the Modules module group.

Generate Design Pattern
or
Generate Technical Pattern

For a new pattern, this button is only available, if a machine is selected in the Machine section.
Create and display patterns according to the settings. The modules in the pattern are displayed in the Module bar of the pattern.
The Sintral function is loaded into the Sintral functions table of the Pattern parameters.
The dialog box is closed.

For Shaped Pattern applies additionally:
When generating the pattern, the Calculate Shape window appears with a progress bar.
The shape of the pattern will be generated from the selected shape template and the shape modules defined at the template will be applied to the pattern.

Cancel

Close the dialog box without generating a pattern.

If you use a comb start for one of your own machines, the Clamping and cutting checkbox in the machine attributes of the pattern parameters is automatically activated. This occurs even if you have deactivated it in the My machines properties.

In the Program settings dialog box, you can specify in the Load tab in whose view the new pattern is to be generated with.
